On January 24th, 2024, Gully Classes Foundation partnered with the National Museum of Indian Cinema to organize a Beach Clean-Up Drive at Mahim Beach, West, as part of the Swachhta Pakhwada initiative by the Indian Government. This collaborative effort aimed to raise awareness about environmental conservation and promote community engagement in keeping our beaches clean and pristine.
With the Swachhta Pakhwada spirit in mind, 16 dedicated volunteers from Gully Classes Foundation and beyond joined forces to tackle litter and debris along the coastline. Led by Gully Classes Foundation team members Azharuddin Nagori, Uzair Shaikh, and Rohit Kanaujiya, the group embarked on a mission to restore the beauty of Mahim Beach and contribute to a cleaner, healthier environment for all.
Throughout the clean-up drive, volunteers not only collected trash but also engaged in discussions about sustainable practices and the importance of preserving our natural resources. From reducing plastic pollution to promoting recycling initiatives, participants brainstormed ideas on how to continue their environmental efforts beyond the Swachhta Pakhwada campaign.
The Beach Clean-Up Drive exemplified the power of collective action and community involvement in environmental conservation. By coming together and taking proactive steps to protect our beaches, we demonstrated our commitment to the principles of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Swachhta Pakhwada.
We extend our sincere gratitude to all the volunteers who dedicated their time and energy to this important cause, as well as to the National Museum of Indian Cinema for their collaboration. Together, we are making a positive impact on our environment and creating a cleaner, greener future for generations to come.
Stay tuned for more initiatives and events as we continue to promote environmental responsibility and sustainable living with Gully Classes Foundation.
