MUMBAI, June 4, 2023 — Gully Classes Foundation, in collaboration with Surfrider Foundation (Europe Based Organization) and Auxilium Skill Academy, successfully organized a Mithi River Cleanup Drive at Reti Bunder Mahim, Mumbai, on the occasion of World Environment Day. The event witnessed an overwhelming participation of over 70 volunteers, including 50 dedicated students.

The cleanup drive, initiated with a comprehensive session on safety guidelines and environmental conservation led by Abdul Munaf, Founder & Director of Gully Classes Foundation, commenced at 8:00 AM and concluded with a closing ceremony.
Volunteers actively engaged in the cleanup drive, making significant efforts to restore the natural beauty of the Mithi River and its surrounding areas. As part of the cleanup process, volunteers were encouraged to share their observations about the current state of the river and beach. The collective realization of our responsibility for the deteriorating condition of the Mithi River was a powerful reminder of the urgent need for environmental conservation.
During the event, Auxilium Skill Academy made a significant announcement to organize monthly cleanup and awareness drives in the upcoming months, further emphasizing the commitment towards sustainable environmental practices.

The dedication and enthusiasm of the team yielded impressive results, with a staggering 700 kilograms of trash removed from the Mithi River. This remarkable achievement would not have been possible without the coordination and efforts of Mohsin Ansari and Noor Ahmed from the Gully Classes Foundation and Cristina Rodzario from Auxilium Skill Academy.
Gully Classes Foundation extends heartfelt appreciation to all the volunteers, partners, and sponsors for their unwavering support in making this event a grand success. Their commitment to environmental preservation is commendable, and their collective efforts contribute significantly to building a greener and cleaner future.
