Over the last four days, the foundation screened the critically acclaimed documentary, "Writing with Fire," in five schools of Basni Belima. This documentary sheds light on the inspiring journey of Khabar Lahariya, a newspaper and channel run and led by women, addressing issues like women's rights, dowry, and violence. The screenings aimed to promote personality development and instill awareness among students.
Day-wise Highlights:
Day 1 - Al-Ashraf School: The journey began at Al-Ashraf School, where more than 60 students engaged in the documentary screening. The foundation's team, including Abdul Munaf, the founder & director, and other dedicated members, actively participated in discussions and Q&A sessions, encouraging students to voice their thoughts and concerns.
Day 2 - Al-Barkat School: At Al-Barkat School, the second day witnessed an even more enthusiastic response from over 75 students. The team continued to facilitate conversations about the documentary's themes, fostering a sense of awareness and understanding among the young minds.
Day 3 - Madni English Medium School: Madni English Medium School hosted the third screening, bringing together over 44 students. The documentary sparked thoughtful discussions on women's empowerment, and the foundation's team, including volunteers, played a pivotal role in addressing queries and encouraging a deeper understanding of the issues at hand.
Day 4 - Islamiya Rehmaniya School, Basni Belima: The initiative culminated at Islamiya Rehmaniya School, with an engaging screening attended by more than 24 students. Day 5 - Science Academy: On the fifth and final day of the documentary screening initiative, the team visited Science Academy, where 25 eager students joined in the enlightening session. Despite being the last day, the enthusiasm and engagement remained high as students delved into discussions about the documentary's themes. The foundation's team, along with volunteers, ensured that every question was addressed and every perspective was valued, leaving a lasting impression on the students' minds.
